Multi-ECU Gateway Bench

A multi-ECU bench network with gateways, CAN-FD backbone, LIN sub-bus, SecOC, and UDS — a vehicle-network segment on the bench.

We integrate the network, not just a single node.

Vehicles are moving from domain controllers to zonal layouts. OEMs need partners who understand routing, gateway firmware, LIN/CAN-FD coexistence, SecOC, and diagnostics — and can wire multiple ECUs together on a bench.

This experiment is that bench: two MPC5748G gateways, an S32K144 edge node, secured traffic, and a UDS stack running end to end.

Technical Overview

Hardware: MPC5748G DevKit pair, S32K144EVB, dual CAN-FD interfaces, diagnostic CAN channel, scope, and debug links.

Tool flow: DBC/ARXML conversion → architecture diagram → bus load → gateway routing (Gateway Core C) → SecOC → rest-bus test → UDS flash.

Gateway Core C deploys on MPC5748G with a single platform transmit hook. UDS SecurityAccess uses generated seed-to-key DLLs. SecOC uses generated authenticators, not seed-to-key.

What This Demonstrates

  • Multi-ECU gateway network (CAN-FD + LIN)
  • Cross-bus routing and translation
  • SecOC-authenticated onboard traffic
  • UDS diagnostic stack
  • Gateway Core C on real gateway silicon
  • Rest-bus simulation of missing ECUs
  • Bus stress testing with signal integrity checks
